ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸ ਗ਼ਮੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ

He said, "you should seriously consider seeking help". I replied, "but I am already being helped."

He said, "No but what is wrong in taking help the way everyone else does".

I knew that no one would understand my viewpoint. Only my Mehram (beloved one, Guru Sahib) knows the condition of my heart.

My thoughts turned towards Vaheguru. A shayer I heard 25 years ago started ringing in the head as follows:

ਸੁਨਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੁਆ ਸੇ।
ਕਿਸੀ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤੁਮੇ ਮਾਂਗ ਕੇ ਦੇਖੇਂਗੇ ਖੁਦਾ ਸੇ।

My heart responded to this shayer as follows:

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਵੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਹੈ।
ਖੈਰ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਸਾਡੀ ਚਾਹ ਹੈ।


And then pleaded before Siri Guru jee as follows:

ਤੱਤੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣਿਆ ਬਸ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਆਧਾਰ।
ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰ।

ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਈ ਆਸਰੇ ਜੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਦੀ ਆਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਰ

ਸੀਸ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਉਹ ਸੂਲੀ ਵੀ ਚੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ;
ਅੰਦਰ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੇਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਰ। (ਸ਼ਰਾਰਾ = ਚਿੰਗਾਰੀ)

ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸ ਗ਼ਮੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ; (ਗ਼ਮੇ ਦਿਲ = sorrow of heart)
ਮਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ 'ਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਇਕ ਦਰਾਰ। (ਦਰਾਰ = partition, difference)

ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੀ ਖਾਲੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਕੋਈ;
ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਰਖੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਪਾਰ।
